Italian black metal entity Via ad Mortem present their debut full‐length, Requiem I: Through the Path Over The Ruins, released by Northern Darkness Records. A work positioned between the primordial violence of Spite Extreme Wing and the contemplative vastness of Drudkh, marking the arrival of a new force within the Italian underground.
Rooted in the idea of death as spiritual and intellectual dissolution, Via ad Mortem explore esoteric traditions, cosmic cycles, necromantic currents and the rejection of modern decay. The album embraces a syncretic vision that refuses dogma and avoids judgment, seeking not to instruct but to awaken and evoke.
Black Metal is reaffirmed here as art, spirituality and philosophy.
A statement of intent that positions Via ad Mortem as a new band to watch out for on the Italian extreme metal scene.
