Conceived as a cohesive concept album, “Drangsal” connects music, lyrics, and visual design into a unified artistic statement. Production and recording were handled by Vincent Padrutt, with mixing and mastering by Nikita Kamprad. With this release, Nocturnis continue their artistic development and establish themselves as a band with a clear conceptual vision within the contemporary extreme metal scene.
Biography:
Nocturnis is a five-piece black metal band from the Black Forest region of southern Germany, known for combining atmospheric intensity with historically informed concept albums. Formed in 2019, the band first gained underground attention with their debut EP “Aporia” (2020) and their acclaimed first full-length “Unsegen” (2022), which earned favorable reviews across metal press.
Live, Nocturnis have built their reputation through supporting roles for established acts including Suffocation, Thron, Kanonenfieber, Grima and Agathodaimon. With their second album “Drangsal” (2026) they continue their trajectory — blending historical subject matter, black metal and a clear aesthetic vision into a unified work, produced internally by guitarist Vincent Padrutt with mixing and mastering by Nikita Kamprad.
